Hazard debuts Real Madrid with shirt number 50, the reason is unique
Eden Hazard made his debut at Real Madrid in Huston against Bayern Munich, holding the 50th in his shirt.
Still without an official number in the squad, with his 7 favorites taken by Mariano Diaz, Belgium has chosen a unique option for his first game with Real.
Hazard has chosen shirt number 50 in honor of the "Apollo 11" moon landing that was reached 50 years ago, or more precisely on July 20, 1969.
Other new transfers such as Ferland Mendy and Luka Jovic debut with the number 23 and 18 respectively held by Sergio Reguilon and Marcos Llorente.
Hazard's odd choice, however, is only possible in friendly matches since La Liga allows only the use of numbers 1 to 25.
Earlier it was rumored that Hazard will choose the shirt number 23, since in the past have kept many sports legends, such as David Beckham and Micheal Jordan.
