Former Barcelona legend, Ronaldinho is 'in talks' to make a breakthrough in football, 18 months after his retirement.
According to the Times Of Malta media, the 39-year-old, who recently played for the Brazilian Fluminense team, is currently in talks with the Birkirkara FC Maltese squad for a transfer.


Technical director of Birkirkara, Michael Valencia, has confirmed that "ongoing talks are ongoing" regarding a potential agreement.


"I can confirm that there is a possibility that Birkirkara FC may sign up with Ronaldinho."

"There is nothing finished yet, but talks are ongoing and we must be patient and see how things evolve," Valencia said.

The deal came to light as the club spoke about a foreign company that is interested in sponsoring the club.

Otherwise, Ronaldinho announced his withdrawal from the professional game in January 2018.
