Ronaldinho close to the unbelievable return to football at the age of 39
Former Barcelona legend, Ronaldinho is 'in talks' to make a breakthrough in football, 18 months after his retirement.
According to the Times Of Malta media, the 39-year-old, who recently played for the Brazilian Fluminense team, is currently in talks with the Birkirkara FC Maltese squad for a transfer.
Technical director of Birkirkara, Michael Valencia, has confirmed that "ongoing talks are ongoing" regarding a potential agreement.
"I can confirm that there is a possibility that Birkirkara FC may sign up with Ronaldinho."
"There is nothing finished yet, but talks are ongoing and we must be patient and see how things evolve," Valencia said.
The deal came to light as the club spoke about a foreign company that is interested in sponsoring the club.
Otherwise, Ronaldinho announced his withdrawal from the professional game in January 2018.
But it seems the 39-year-old is ready to make a wonderful return to the game after these recent reports
He will not be able to repeat what he did at the height of his career, but it would be a pleasure to see Ronaldinho again in the field.
