Chelsea winger Davide Zappacosta has joined Rome on loan for six months, with the right extension for six more.
The transfer was completed after the player performed medical tests at the Villa Stuart clinic.
"Zappacosta joins the Giallorossi from the English English club as a month-long loan, with a further extension until June 2020," the club said in a statement.
Chelsea on the other hand have formalized the extension of the contract with the player until 2022.
"I'm happy to come to Rome, with an experience that will help me, as a man and as a player."
"I'm excited to be playing in a big club and I'm looking forward to starting training with teammates," the player said.
Zappacosta disposes of Turin for € 25m from Chelsea in August 2017.
Zappacosta played 52 games for Chelsea, scoring two goals. He has known the number 2 jersey.
